The Bluestar Group held two important meetings – the Working Conference on Improving the Automatic Control Rate for Devices, and the Real-time Database Applications seminar -- for 2012, in Jinan, Shandong province, Nov 16 -18, with a very successful conclusion.
Zhang Lijun, the Bluestar Group vice-president, addressed the working conference the first day of the gathering, where he said he appreciated the achievements all of the group’s enterprises have had in increasing automation and referred to the automatic control team as the “Center of Excellence”. Then, Wen Hongtao, the GM of the Jinan Yuxing Co, the conference organizer, welcomed all the conference participants and gave a summary of all the effort that had gone into improving the automation rate and related successes. Ni Huafang, the Bluestar Group’s new CTO, also spoke on some general ideas and plans for continued improvements, after which, the 14 subordinate enterprises gave their own year-end reports on improving automation of devices, with Ni adding his comments on each one. After the reports were finished, Huang Ling, the head of the continued improvement office of Bluestar, explained the plans and arrangements for increasing the automation rate for Bluestar devices in the coming year. As a finale, Mr. Pang, the president, summarized the proceedings and expressed his thanks to Dr. Feng for his work in guiding the projects to improve the automation rate and pointed to the achievements all the enterprises had made.
At the seminar, on Nov 17, trainers from OSIsoft explained the design and software functions of PI Systems and the utilization of PI Data Access, business intelligence searches, and data presentation. Bluestar’s Su Yuelong described its real-time database design and PI and SAP integration systems in detail. Then, that afternoon, the head of the production and operations department of Jinan Yuxing gave a description of the development history, products, and current operations at Yuxing and gave the participants a tour of the company.
There were also some team building activities, on Nov 18, for the participants to provide more room for exchanges and communications among all the enterprises.
